Terry Howell Joins the Robert Price Group
We are pleased to announce that Terry Howell Timber & Builders’ Merchants have recently joined the Robert Price group.
Robert Price currently have 29 branches across South Wales and Herefordshire, including 19 traditional merchant yards and a number of specialist branches including roofing yards, timber specialists, kitchen and bathroom showrooms, a Sustainable Energy centre, an insulation division and an agricultural supplies branch. They operate under the Robert Price, Tudors and Gower Timber brands. The Head Office is located in Abergavenny, from where further communication will be sent to customers as appropriate.
In the short term, the branches will continue to trade as Terry Howell as we work to ensure a smooth and efficient integration into the Robert Price Group.

A Business with Family Values at our Core
Terry Howell started its life back in 1956, when the company began manufacturing wooden ladders at a small family site in South Wales. After a few years, we began to diversify our offering and started producing timber props and cover boards for the coal mines across the South Wales Valleys. As the scale of our business continued to grow, we expanded our operations to sawmill fencing materials, such as; featheredge, posts and rails. This allowed us to open multiple locations in Newport, Pontypool and Risca.
Over 67 years later, our business now operates at two merchant sites, located in Newport and Pontypool, and a five acre wholesale distribution yard. It's important to us that all of our timber comes from fully sustainable sources, which is why we work hard with our suppliers to ensure the timber we supply is sustainable.
As we’ve grown over the years, our people have remained the heart of what we do and this is something we’re incredibly proud of. We're committed to offering our customers a personal experience, that keeps them coming back to us time and time again.
